Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Ysera can't fathom what it is about alt blacks that make them so mysterious. Even their exact origin remains ambiguous as no one can fully explain why they turn alt. Rajaxx, being one of this rare black breed, is no different. He is a loner, preferring to keep to himself rather than to socialize with the other dragons. The only other dragon Ysera has even seen him communicate with is his mate, Yavanna, another alt black just as esoteric as him. However, Yavanna occasionally chooses to confide little bits and pieces about Rajaxx, so Ysera knows that he is a proficient fighter and a keen hunter and tracker. Rajaxx can pursue a prey over long distances and ragged terrain without losing its trail or alerting it to his presence.
