Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Darkwing Duck is the self-proclaimed "Champion of Right" for this section of the cave. He is a very mysterious duck, as nobody knows for sure who is behind his shadowy disguise that he provides for himself by using magic to make other people see him as a duck. When he sees humans or scheming, villainous hunters, he swoops out of the shadows and strikes quickly, staying just long enough after for people have noticed him. He hopes by engaging in this dangerous kind of activity, people will be able to take notice and say his homemade phrase 'When there's trouble, you call DW', but thus far, he has few fans; his mate Rayrocae Moon and his daughter-sidekick Quiverwing Quack being the majority of them.
