Magi Dragons are, as their name suggests, primarily magic users. They rarely use physical forms of attack. They eat anything they can kill, which is almost everything. They won’t kill unprovoked except when hunting, although they may kill humans if in danger. Their strong magic makes them one of the most feared breeds of dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Lysander is a very intelligent young magi, much like he hears his parents, Lily and Trent, are. Although he was separated from his parents not long after hatching, he is aware that both of them are Magis who are evidently students at a location that he's unsure of. He's heard other Magis call it a distant place by the name of "Delirium's academy," though Lysander is skeptical about the authenticity of their claims. He tends to spend most of his time learning about teleportation and telekinesis. Though he is a very brainy Magi, he tends to become easily exhausted and ill from performing teleportation, which is unfortunately a skill he must learn to reside in his owner's cave. Embarrassed by his lack of success in teleportation, Lysander has begun to teach himself about a skill he seems to be quite marvelous in: telekinesis. He enjoys hitting dragons that bully him about his teleportation skills with small chunks of levitating dirt or sticks.
