Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Starless's past is even darker than his midnight scales. He doesn't give away much information to anyone; not even his mate. As much as he would love to, he feels it is unsafe to reveal too much to her, as she's far too gossipy and he doesn't trust her to keep things to herself. Also, some wounds are best left untouched, and he knows that she, in her own meddlesome way, would go and stir things up trying to fix it, and just make a big mess out of everything. So he keeps to himself, rarely expressing any thought or emotion. One would never guess it, but despite all her antics, he loves Vicious more than anything and she truly is the reason to start every new day.
