Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Falafel de Pepino didn't have the easiest dragonethood. He was abandoned as an egg almost as soon as he was laid. A young aspiring dragon trainer by the name of Clytemnestra found his egg in the woods, and brought him home out of kindness. She managed to hide him until he hatched, but then her mother found him and demanded he be abandoned. Cly begged her mother not to abandon him, and her mum took one look in his emerald eyes and her heart melted. She let him stay, and he was Cly's best friend. They named him Falafel de Pepino (cucumber falafel) after they discovered he had a love of falafel, especially cucumber falafel.
