Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. You find it odd that the hatchling doesn’t move at all during the day, but at night its colors change and it is full of energy.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Neither is, like all nocturne dragons, a creature of the night. This puts him at odds with the other hatchlings, who are most active during the day; he views them as a bunch of warm and boring people, while they refer to him as 'that moving rock'. Though he's a bit of a loner, Neither does enjoy exploring the cave and forests during the night, and he particularly loves rolling about in fresh, crisp snow up high on the mountain.
