Ultraviolet Dragons are a heat-loving breed that are most commonly found in hot, arid environments. These hardy dragons are omnivorous and will eat both plant and animal matter, even species with thorny physical defenses such as cacti. They are generally peaceful and often quite friendly, but males will become aggressive and cantankerous during the breeding season. Intense fights take place over females, sometimes resulting in injury for both combatants.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

"Hey! It's Cactus, not 'Cactuus'! Whatever that even means!" This dragon can often be heard complaining. Unfortunately, nobody really cares that her name was misspelled by her absentminded human master, and the local Spitfire dragons prefer to make fun of her, knowing full-well that she can never catch them. However, those who maintain friendly relations with this perpetually bullied dragon consistently encourage her to notice her unique first name, "Qamavah", instead, and to celebrate it. However, it is admittedly hard to celebrate when Spitfires keep zooming by and kicking up dust into her cave, her food, and everything else she owns.
