Swallowtail Dragons are graceful and quick flyers, much like their namesake bird. They are capable of precise aerial acrobatics, and can reach very high altitudes. Because of this, humans observing these dragons are often astonished at how large they are when confronted up close. A Swallowtail’s diet consists of insects and small mammals plentiful in temperate forests. These dragons are also made remarkable by their paper-thin wing membranes, which allow light to pass through, creating an astonishing effect on starry nights.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Slikken is the son of Nila Tatsu and Somnig Nave. Slikken is a prince with his mother being a queen and his father being a king. Slikken is fated to breed with a female and have her become daughter in law of the king and queen, but Slikken doesn't want to breed with a female, he just wants to be with the one he loves—a peasant named Koguja. Slikken saw Koguja one day and fell in love with him, but his parents didn't like that he was in love with a male peasant. They told him if he were to get together with Koguja that he would be abandoned, so Slikken kept quiet about his crush. Slikken then decided that he would get together with Koguja but he would never tell his parents. He would breed with a female as long as they were related to Koguja so that the child would be related to Koguja in some way. Slikken is currently happily together with his crush Koguja.
