Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Dari is the guardian of Christmas, but specifically for a small village in England, Earth. She knows all of the inhabitants by name, and often protects or helps them in unseen ways.  When Christmas-time is not here, she can be found either patrolling her village in her invisible form or spending time with her favorite forefathers: Melfree and the Nameless Ones, the four Bright Pink Dragons in her lineage.

All of her bright pink aunts, as she calls them, adore her and often pretty her up or fuss over her in motherly ways.  They are all great friends, and since Dari started spending time with her aunts, her reserved, aloof personality has warmed up greatly.
