Nocturne Dragons are a strange breed. Whenever light strikes their bodies, they are frozen in whatever position they were in. This leaves them vulnerable and they rely on camouflage to keep themselves safe. They are often mistaken for statues when in this frozen state, but Nocturne dragons do not actually turn into stone. Rather, they merely idle until the sun goes down. At night, these dragons come to life, proving themselves to be powerful fliers, although little else is known about their true behavior.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Artaria Ashera may seem like a peaceable dragon at first glance, but she actually has quite a ferocious temper, fiery enough to match those of wild Hellfire Wyverns. She won't hesitate to do whatever it takes to keep her clanmates safe, which is a good thing, maybe. Those who are actually rather close to her know that she can be quite a ranter, and that she's very picky about what position she's in before lights hit her and freeze her until they disappear. Indeed, it is best to avoid her when she's furious for whatever reason, since even the slightest thing can set her off into a screaming tantrum.

Strangely, her parents and offspring do not seem to share her horrible temper, which she's been trying hard to learn to control for the good of the clan. Instead, they are rather nice and mellow, and secretly rather miffed at her behavior, though they believe it may have something to do with the secret "code" that she'd been assigned by a magical god. Therefore, she is always mAD.
