Gold dragons are the ones most often killed by humans, who consider their scales to be extremely valuable. These golden scales grant them a high level of protection, similar to armor, and they use this to their advantage in battle.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Medalist feels the need to always be the best, to win at everything. Even when doing mundane, normal activities such as cleaning her scales or hunting for food, she is desperate to succeed. She will wander the wilderness for hours on end in order to make sure she's collected the most food out of all of her rivals and will obsess incessantly about having the shiniest hide. It's not just her scales she wants to be shiny, though. She also cleans her medals and trophy collection daily, prizes she has won from competitions, for she isn't just competitive in her everyday life. She also enters actual contests. In fact, she enters every single competition she can find, from beauty to athletics and she often resorts to unorthodox methods just as cheating to get the shiny medals she so desperately desires. Not because she likes medals, though; she could care less about the objects. She only wants the medals as a symbol, of proof of her winning.
