Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It’s small, but already likes to play-fight.

And look! It has grown spikes! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Verpyzia is a little trouble maker and likes nothing more than to get other hatchlings into arguments. Best friends or siblings are her most likely targets where she will spread rumours to one about something the other has allegedly said or done, but her favourite marks have to be the two headed hatchlings. It's really almost impossible to speak to one head behind the other one's back, and she has to be really sneaky and subtle about it, but the resulting chaos more than justifies the added effort.
