Welcome to Dragon Cave! Dragon Cave is an online adoptables game. Collect eggs, raise them to adulthood, and then breed them to create interesting lineages. New dragons are added regularly!
Striped Dragons come in a dazzling array of colors complemented by an intricate pattern of stripes. These bright colors and patterns help attract their favorite food, insects. Because their prey is so tiny, striped dragons must spend a large portion of their day eating. The color of the offspring is usually determined by the dragon’s mate.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
Originally meant to be part of a swap between sorceresses that later fell apart, this dragon has always felt rather out of place in his surroundings. Left with the woman who had originally raised him, he always felt she cared little for him--and he couldn't blame her for it. A mutt with a mixed (and, according to rumor, inbred) ancestry in a cave full of dragons of noble lineage and fair breeding, his clumsy attempts to befriend the others or impress his caretaker usually earn him nothing more than puzzled stares. Resigning himself to a life on the edge, he all but gave up on caring for himself... until the day he met another young stripe dragon, with a family just as undistinguished as his own. Pulling the blue stripe away from the swirl of politics and prestige that surrounded the others, she looked into his eyes and, laughing, told him they were the free ones. And so they were. The two are a mated pair now, fast in love, and the blue stripe has never since regretted being alive.
