Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Starpress was hatched well after the Great War that tore apart the Old Featherwing Weyr and created the Weyr of Flame. She spent her hatchlinghood in relative safety and security, hearing tales about the time of battle and glory, the death and honor of those who had sacrificed their lives to bring about the existence of her very way of life. How grand! She spent her days pretending to be one of those great warriors who'd chased the awful, inbred lunatics from the Weyrlands, and when she grew up, she immediately made a bid for being one of the Weyr peacekeepers, protectors of the borders. It's not very glamorous, true, but at least every now and then she gets to chase away an interloper or one of the exiled criminals.

She's recently settled down with a mate, Spelltap, whose patience and sweet, quiet nature match up well with Starpress's sense of adventure and excitable, dramatic tendencies.
