Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Hidden deep in the darkest shadows lurks Death. He is the assassin of Shadow Puppet's herd. Death is a mystery, even within his own herd. He comes and goes, staying only long enough to receive Shadow's orders. Truth be told, Death isn't as dangerous as he seems. He lost his herd, everyone he knew or cared about, in a mysterious accident. He pines for his lost herd and sometimes stays up late, thinking about his lost lover. He really hates killing, but without his job in Shadow Puppet's herd, he would be left with nothing. His job as an assassin is the only thing that gives his life meaning. He hopes one day he might be able to live a better life, free of murder and destruction. Till then, watch your back, because Death is on the loose.
