Magi Dragons are, as their name suggests, primarily magic users. They rarely use physical forms of attack. They eat anything they can kill, which is almost everything. They won’t kill unprovoked except when hunting, although they may kill humans if in danger. Their strong magic makes them one of the most feared breeds of dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Nefriterr is the guardian of parentless hatchlings. Normally, hatchlings are born or adopted into a family of its own kind. In a case where the parents are absent, he cares for them. He cherishes the little ones, even when they play on him when he is napping. He is also in charge of what dragons leave, breed, adopt, and unfortunately, get killed off.

Hoping to one day have children of his own with a beautiful other, he dreams of the perfect one every night. Sometimes, he imagines the other hatchlings as his own kind, just to try out what caring for another Magi would be like.
