Sunrise Dragons are closely related to sunset dragons. However, their behaviors differ greatly. Sunrise Dragons prefer to live in large groups and enjoy basking in the early morning sun. They are usually most active in the morning, and go to sleep in the early evening.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Lady Sigyn is very smitten with frosty Ice dragon Loki, but so far he hasn't melted under her warm affections. Like all Sunrise dragons, Sigyn loves being around other dragons and humans, something that Loki can't understand as a much more solitary Ice dragon. Sigyn has tried to get Loki to at least befriend her fellow Sunrise dragon, Freyr, but he's remained quite cold to both of them. Despite this, Sigyn isn't giving up. She is a beautiful, optimistic young female dragon and is determined to get the mate she has her heart set on. Due to Loki's inattentiveness lately, Sigyn has taken up with a shy, kind Mint dragon named Sweet Mint. Loki has been focusing his attentions elsewhere, and while this hurts Sigyn, she isn't above taking another mate and really enjoys Sweet Mint's company.
