Hellhorse Dragons are foul-tempered, spirited creatures with tempestuous and violent dispositions. Torrents of scorching flames erupt from their bodies and can easily set their surroundings ablaze. Highly aggressive and territorial toward other dragon species, Hellhorses will tolerate others as long as they believe the association to be beneficial. Such alliances are tenuous in nature and frequently short-lived, as the slightest disagreement can easily escalate into a full-out brawl.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Agnes is the daughter of George and Myra Felldread. She was raised within the AnselaJonla flock, as her parents were.

It's certainly a strange mateship, the pairing of a Hellhorse with a Red-Finned Tidal. It's certainly not something Agnes had ever considered before it happened.

She'd been letting off her bad temper in the mangrove forest one day, kicking at trees and setting whole boughs on fire. Franklyn came across her as she jumped into the water to attack a snake that strayed too close, and he fell in love with the (literally) fiery-tempered Hellhorse.

He danced for her that day, and every time he saw her after. He even risked brushing against her as she stood in water that was boiling from the heat of her flames.

Even a Hellhorse can be impressed by that sort of determination. Eventually she relented and let her mate see that she returned his feelings. She even learned how to turn her innate flames off while in the water.
