Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It enjoys playing in shallow water.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

"Saaaaay, I think I'll make acorny joke about nuts," says this suave connoisseur of jokes. Telling humorous jokes as he lounges in his private pond is his favorite thing to do, and he seems very good at it indeed, or at least the lounging part. For despite his claimed good taste for puns, he always seems to make those corny ones—and only about one subject, which happens to be, of all things, nuts! He prefers to call these jokes "acorny" jokes, which is only the first of dozens many dragons will hear from him. Despite all the groans and mumbling he elicits, the hatchlings adore him, always coming to hear his daily comedy sessions where he makes dozens upon dozens of jokes about acorns, almonds, walnuts, and so on (he is even known to make jokes about nut butter, which, unfortunately, are not much butter than his other puns). So, well, at least this not-so-masterful comedian can crack the hatchling up with a-corny joke.

Even if it's driving everyone else nuts.
