Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It is rather pale in color and likes to sleep while balancing on one leg.

And look! It has grown wings and a large head crest! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Quincymur is the quintessence of the delinquent hatchling. Though he somewhat carries out what the adult Flamingo dragons ask of him, he does it with little or no effort and goofs off at the same time. After he matures, he plans to get out of the Cumberland Lake's floodplain and fly off to bigger and better things. However, the other dragons know that his growth is stunted and that he shall never amount to anything without learning the respect and control that the adults offer to teach him.
