This is a baby chick, not a dragon. So what was it doing in the dragons’ cave?

Geegi is majestic and stouthearted. Taking it upon herself, she is the guardian of her clan. As it is a self-assigned role, she takes no orders from others. She patrols the cave opening day and night, pausing only to rest or perhaps to scratch up a worm. Many times she is told to stand aside and let someone else do the ever-so-dangerous sentry duty. As an extreme feminist, she assumes it is because of her gender and gets offended when they say a chick can't guard the cave.

From the very beginning she knew she'd be a champion of those in need. While still in the egg she heard screams of terror all about her as some ferocious beast preyed upon the weak creatures around her. She rocked in her egg back and forth until she got up the momentum to really get moving and moved her egg like a hamster ball to follow the sound of tremendous wings. She made it to the cave just before her cracked-egg gave up and set her free. She looked up, and then up some more, at her monstrous mom Carll.
