Magma Dragons are capable of withstanding the intense temperatures of their element. They live in volcanic regions, their bodies coated in the red hot magma which clings to their scales. They must leave the lava fields in order to hunt, although they require surprisingly little food to sustain their lumbering mass.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Pypci is the Volcanic Rock Guardian of Aurora. She towers above other Magma Dragons with her immense size, dripping molten magma wherever she goes. In her lair, there is a pit of enchanted magma, said to turn wanderers and travelers into stone with a touch—nobody would ever want to get in contact with an obviously hazardous substance, anyway. Pypci, despite her role, is lazy most of the time. she will simply lay her tail across people who dare fight her. Others say her eyes glow the brightest green, a mix of emeralds and jade, that seem to stare right through others, revealing deeply hidden truths and secrets most would rather not share.
