Sunset Dragons are closely related to sunrise dragons. However, their behaviors differ greatly. Sunset Dragons generally live alone or in small packs. They are more active in the evening, hunting and performing all of their daily tasks as the sun sets.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Sunlight has an awful secret. She loves to eat the eggs of other dragons. It all started when she was a hatchling and tasted some of the mess left behind when an egg was smashed. She fell in love with the taste of eggs. Ever since, she has spent most of her time hunting eggs and eating the unborn dragon within. Because of this, she was banished from Luna Bell's herd and now lives with Shadow Puppet and the other outcasts. Despite her sick taste in food, Sunlight is a very timid dragon who tries to stay away from others. She rarely talks, though she has been caught mumbling to herself often in an angry tone. Some think this might be because of embarrassment over her strange cannibalistic addition. Others think she's just gone loony after eating so many of her own kind.
