It was previously believed that purple dragons were exclusively female, but this is not the case. Recent environmental shifts have revealed the existence of both genders of this breed. Female behavior is well known; they are primarily herbivores but will eat meat during mating season. On the other hand, very little is known about the behavior and habits of male purple dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

So clumsy that she can barely walk straight, Metra's failings made her the laughingstock of her neighborhood, passersby sneering at her and whispering under foul breath that she must have some inner deformity to be so pathetically imbalanced. It was this misuse that at last drove the sensitive purple from her home in tears, leaving her beloved parents behind in the hopes of finding somewhere more accepting. Like a nice, dark hole in which she could hide forever.

She didn't find a hole, but she did find something far better: the Cirque de Pourpre.

Invited to join by the ringmaster herself, Metra's nervousness hindered most of her attempts to fit in--until she discovered her wobbling was just the trick needed to balance perfectly on a dragon-sized unicycle! Now an integral part of the circus, Metra is a wealth of joy and energy, and possesses a new confidence that lets her visit her family and friends without the slightest worry of what strangers might say along the way.
