This breed of dragon was thought to exist only in legend. Although their name varies between cultures, they are often referred to as “Guardians of Nature.” They are able to channel the forces of fire, ice and lightning, which allows them to wield tremendous power. Seen very rarely, it is thought that they only become active when something is threatening the territory they have chosen to guard. In order to protect their chosen home, these dragons are incredibly adaptable; they have been seen everywhere from remote mountain ranges, to ancient forests, to the darkest depths of the ocean.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

One could understand the meaning of her name as something like "Eyes of the Sky".
Miinlok's past: origin, age, mates, progeny, etcetera, is unknown. But her two most beloved mates, although they don't know each other, a Magma and a Sunsong Amphiptere, vouch she belongs to the sky.
Her two most beloved mates tell, believe, Miinlok is "in love" with Cirion, as she always is flying after its location in the sky.
Her two most beloved mates know, and only they, Miinlok was raised by a human: a man who found her when she fell from the sky, still inside her egg, about to hatch.
The man kept the egg and raised the dragon, but this man was a soul who always felt out of place, time and space, and soon after Miinlok herself felt the same way. Both of them staring at Cirion night after night.
"I won't be able to survive in the heights" said her Master as a farewell knowing her desire to search for her true home. Miinlok knows she cannot reach Cirion but she's the only one who can get closer.
