Paper Dragons are not truly living creatures. They are pieces of parchment enchanted by magic, and as such, are very vulnerable to fire. However, they behave almost like dragons. The only place where their behavior differs is breeding: paper dragons cannot breed.

Written Word is a bit of a nervous dragon, and its easy to see why. He can never leave the cave when it's just the slightest bit damp, for fear of falling apart. The other dragons, which like shooting colorful bursts of flame into the air, pose a constant threat to him. Because of this, he spends most of the time inside the cave, telling elaborate stories and teaching the other dragons. Most dragons, especially the hatchlings, think him a bit dull, but he doesn't mind.
