Vampire Dragons are members of the undead. They sustain themselves by drinking the blood of others. It is said that they are only “alive” at night, and seem dead or asleep during the day, as they cannot endure sunlight for long periods of time. Vampire Dragons can only reproduce by changing the eggs of other dragons, puncturing the shell with their fangs and injecting venom that kills the baby inside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Hearing tales of the legendary power of vampires, Eden sent his servant to steal an egg. He had dreams of it becoming the leader of his unstoppable dragon army. A mindless killer, a servant to help him achieve his means. However he did something very foolish; he placed the grotesque hatchling in the care of one of his harem, a mutinous dragoness named Love.  Stolen from her true life mate, she desired only Eden's downfall. Love was surprised; the hatchling was very clever and intelligent.  She spent her time turning him against the gold dragon.  She gave the young vampire the name of death, Morsmordre. The name pleased Eden, but little did he know that Mordre would mean his own death. Now a powerfully impressive adult, Mordre would give his life to protect his 'mother'.  He used his bulk to throw Eden into a wall when he threatened her. Eden is now terrified because his deadly weapon has turned against him. Mordre could become the key to returning the clan back to its rightful leader.
