Daydream Dragons are the hosts of daydreams and fantasies. They spend the majority of their time sitting on clouds, dropping daydreams down into the minds of people passing by. Humans who live near Daydream Dragons must be especially careful not to let their thoughts wander, or they could end up spending hours or even days in a trance-like waking dream state.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Finally Awakened was once a bully of Have a Nice Day, another dragon of this cave. He was harsh, rude, and arrogant beyond words. On that day of the vengeful confrontation on the poor victim, Finally Awakened's eyes gleamed with anticipation of the torture to come. But then, when the whisper, "Have a nice day," came out of the trembling lips of Have a Nice Day, it was like the feelings of the poor dragon flashed before Finally Awakened's derisive orbs. His threatening, fierce look had softened, and the hard glare had sapped out of his eyes.

Right then and there, he felt like a cripple; he was the wrong dragon broken in too many ways. Finally Awakened changed—drastically. He now wanted to reach out to the dragon he refused to understand. Disappointed dearly in himself, he has stopped his scorn and tried his best to win the friendship of the one he had hurt most. He still hasn't succeeded in doing so. But he's determined to. It's the best he can give to the one who had awakened him.
