Deep Sea Dragons, as their name suggests, spend most of their time in the darkest depths of the sea. They have a bioluminescent dorsal spine that serves to attract prey and communicate with their own kind. As with many deep sea animals, they generally eat whatever they can manage to bait. They rarely leave the ocean floor, surfacing only during breeding season. When they do choose to travel to the shallower depths, they avoid bright lights and will only come up far away from shore.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Her name means "Rain Woman" in Japanese. Her egg was found at the bottom of the ocean, inside a giant clam. Yoshii is the one that found her; he saw something inside the clam that didn't look like a pearl. It looked familiar to him, so he pried open the clam and retrieved the foreign object. Yoshii then recognized that it was the same color as him, with the same glowing spots. He then realized that it must be an egg, and decided to raise it. When Ameonna hatched she was the cutest little thing he'd ever seen. Yoshii was completely clueless about how to raise a daughter, but he managed to do a fantastic job nonetheless. Ameonna is a beautiful dragon with an inky blue hide, black armored scales along her back and fins, glowing spots along her sides, a glowing tendril sprouting from her forehead, and a beautiful frill of ridges around her head. Her eyes glow bright bluish-white just like her spots. She is mated to Dai, and they love each other so much and always will.
