Vampire Dragons are members of the undead. They sustain themselves by drinking the blood of others. It is said that they are only “alive” at night, and seem dead or asleep during the day, as they cannot endure sunlight for long periods of time. Vampire Dragons can only reproduce by changing the eggs of other dragons, puncturing the shell with their fangs and injecting venom that kills the baby inside.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
Carneth and Molgra are the overseers of the dead and undead within the Hollowfall clan. They live together in a deep dark cave on the far side of the mountain. Whenever a dragon is found dead or a hatchling passes from illness, their bodies are left for the Vampire dragons to collect, and are taken away to the graveyard. Despite their creepiness, they are both rather tame, and make no moves to maintain secrecy.
Molgra is a thin, slinking dragon, who leaves her face painted with strange ointments from the swamp near their home. She is responsible for digging and marking the graves. She is feared by the hatchlings, and they tease that Molgra takes away misbehaving hatchlings and leaves them in the swamp. Still, their nature makes it so that they only emerge from their cave at night, and only travel to the other side of the mountain when there is a body to collect. No one is quite sure how they feed, or rather, who they feed from. No one has ever asked.
