Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Ever since it hatched, it has been hiding among the tree leaves.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

This hatchling was forced out of its egg prematurely.

Leaf stripe was curled up in her egg just peaceful, deciding when she will hatch from her egg when suddenly a mighty earthquake thundered the ground and her egg just broke open. She had to run and hide some where but a person caught her. When she hatched she seemed like she will mature and grow up just fine but one day her owner looked at her time left and she had one day left and time was still moving in a count down. She soon just had one hour left then a decision had to be made, freeze her or risk it and she might mature or she might die. She will forever be a child because of a earthquake that forced her out of her egg. Her best friend another frozen hatchling that was too forced out of his egg when a earthquake happened. He (by the way his name is Sand talon)hatched first and had to be frozen first because death was knocking at his door but it didn't make her getting frozen or face death seem any less tragic.
