Paper Dragons are not truly living creatures. They are pieces of parchment enchanted by magic, and as such, are very vulnerable to fire. However, they behave almost like dragons. The only place where their behavior differs is breeding: paper dragons cannot breed.

HB Pencil is a hopeless romantic and has been since he first laid eyes on "Her". The day he saw her thin, tall, slender figure, covered in scarlet, he was spellbound. She had a fine pointed top, a pink rubber end and an earthy aroma of graphite that the paper dragon found irresistible.

Unfortunately, it was a tragic romance. For although they were in happy bliss, time was not kind to HB's darling treasure. Slowly, she grew smaller and smaller with each passing day. Finally their happiness came to a stop. She had lost most of her height, her paint had been chipped away, the fine raven tip had been worn blunt and her pink rubber flattened. They both knew it was time to say goodbye.

Since that tragic farewell, HB has never loved another as he had "Her". During night he dreams, and during the day, daydreams of being reunited. For that time, he's once again in bliss.
