Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Lachlan is the leader of the Warriors Clan—a clan of Black dragons. He used to be a subordinate in the clan until he challenged the previous leader for dominance. Lachlan won using his cunning, his agility and his aggression, but instead of allowing the defeated dragon to stay in the clan, Lachlan drove him off to ensure he would never challenge him again. Lachlan took the ex-leader's unwilling daughter as his mate and had two hatchlings (although the first egg was stolen shortly after it was laid). After Lachlan's mate laid her second she went missing, presumably to seek out her lost father. She never returned, and so Lachlan was left to raise his son Dubhthach alone. Currently he has no mate in the clan, but he does mate outside his species from time to time.

Lachlan looks after his Clan but tolerates no dissent or disobedience from his people. He does allow outsiders to join the clan and he is capable of fending off any who may try to challenge him for dominance.
