Vampire Dragons are members of the undead. They sustain themselves by drinking the blood of others. It is said that they are only “alive” at night, and seem dead or asleep during the day, as they cannot endure sunlight for long periods of time. Vampire Dragons can only reproduce by changing the eggs of other dragons, puncturing the shell with their fangs and injecting venom that kills the baby inside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Deep in the darkest time of night haunts Demonic Deathbringer. He is cruel and cold. He hatched alone and was basically ignored by Fire Dagger. Quietly, Demon grew into adulthood and left. He eats only carrion, and is feared by human and dragon alike. They say to see him means death is coming for you. To see Demon is enough to cause anyone to suffer a heart attack. The first sign of his coming is the sudden mass death of animals, farm, wild, and tamed. The next sign of his coming is the smell of dead and dying things followed by a long, ululating cry that feels as if something is trying to burst your eardrums. The third sign is seeing the dragon yourself. They say he comes as a sign of hard times to all. Those who saw him and lived to tell of the tale say that just the sight of him fills you with deep foreboding and you can feel the evil of this dragon just being near him. Demon could care less about you. To him, you are going to be dinner in about five seconds.
