This hatchling appears to be... dead?

Perhaps not. It seems to be active during the night.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Rude, abrasive, sarcastic and malicious--these all perfectly describe the basics of Dray's personality. Some wonder what happened to her to make her so different from Drayym, her 'mother'--but little do they know that Dray was actually once a Green hatchling, from Green and Thunder parents. This, coupled with the vampire temperment, quite naturally made her fond of pretty pink bows and juicy fruit.

The only thing Dray loves to do is to 'pretty up' the other dragons in the cave while they are sleeping, which basically means smearing colored mud on their faces and stylizing their manes, horns, wings, and tails with ribbons and super-puffy bows.

After one not-so-pleasent incident a while back with TA-175, a night shift was created so-as to keep this little nighttime terror away from the beauty supplies...
