Lunar Heralds are deeply attuned to the two moons of Valkemare, Aurax and Cirion. Strictly nocturnal, they draw energy from moonlight and will only hunt when the moons have waned. When breeding, the amount of moonlight the parents receive from each moon will determine the color of the egg produced. When a Lunar Herald is struck by direct moonlight, an illusion of multiple wings may appear. Witnessing a Lunar Herald’s illusory wings is commonly believed to be a sign of good fortune.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

In addition to the moons, Columbia feels a great connection to the sea. Just as she, the sea is in tune with the pull of the moons, and Columbia and its tides dance in tandem with the energies of the cosmos. She spends her days resting in caves on islands or near the shore, and her nights soaring above the waves, dancing among the strings of attraction between the oceans and the moons above them.

She tends to stay out of storms, and far away from ships, but she has been known to respond to signals of distress and rescue lucky sailors close to a watery death. She delivers them to shore, for she knows the islands of the sea better than any human. Other than that, she stays far away from humans, being seen only as a distant streak through moonlit skies, her wings a blessing of calm seas to whatever lucky voyager may chance upon seeing them.
