Royal Blue dragons are a nocturnal breed who prefer to live high in the mountains near slow-moving water that reflects the night sky. Although quite capable of defending themselves, they are peaceful by nature and will avoid a fight whenever possible.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Adolin and his consort, Shallan inhabit a small part of the Bavland mountains, just west of the city of Silnasen. They are scarcely too far apart from each other and act in almost perfect harmony. Adolin is the more vocal one of the two, choosing to spend his days dealing with delegates from the surrounding regions and patrolling the nearby gardens.
