Frostbite Dragons first appear at the beginning of winter, creeping in with the frosts. They have found their place in human lore as the spirits of snow, since they only reveal themselves during icy weather. In the depths of winter, they cover the world in blankets of snow and are believed to be responsible for the glittering frost that creeps over everything. Although they appear cold and distant, they are actually rather mischievous and enjoy spending time dancing through blizzards.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
'Snowmother' is named so because some dragons in her herd--mainly, the gullible ones--believe her to be the mother of winter. She mainly pretends that to be true around hatchlings, half-heartedly and playfully threatening them with the idea of burying them in snowstorms and blizzards if they don't behave. She is a kind and friendly dragon, much loved by others in her herd, but to the disappointment of most she only visits around the winter months--despite growing up around them like a family, the heat of the warmer seasons bothers her, causing her and the other Frostbite dragons in the herd to migrate to colder regions with the arrival of every spring. Sometimes, they allow an adventurous spirit to travel with them to beautiful, unique lands of ice and snow untouched by mankind. Her annual return with the first snowfall of each winter is usually welcomed happily.
