Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It is very aggressive, and has brilliant turquoise markings all over its body.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

His name is Reed... Blueglass Reed. Being frozen wasn't his plan, but due to his curious and defiant nature along with a miscast spell, he's stuck this way. He doesn't mind it really. Being as small as he is has its advantages, such as having full access to Trouble's stash of pilfered shinies. Of course Trouble doesn't like him going through her things, but he's tougher despite being a 'hatchling' still. He was frozen at an older age than when the cave's other male Spitfire grew up.
