Nocturne Dragons are a strange breed. Whenever light strikes their bodies, they are frozen in whatever position they were in. This leaves them vulnerable and they rely on camouflage to keep themselves safe. They are often mistaken for statues when in this frozen state, but Nocturne dragons do not actually turn into stone. Rather, they merely idle until the sun goes down. At night, these dragons come to life, proving themselves to be powerful fliers, although little else is known about their true behavior.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

When DNH oppened the two crates labeled as Dennia and Tiaran, she found two very large and beautiful statues resembling dragons. "Strange." she thought, as she had paid a fortune to bring two exotics dragons to the Reserve and had been sent nothing but a couple of decorations, expensive ones but decorations whatsoever. Even although she was angry at the sender, from a faraway country, it would take months before she could contact him again, so she decided to keep the statues.

The next day, when she was doing her chores in the reserve, the statues had vanished. Hours of searching and she found them in the Horse Dragon prairie. DNH was bewildered at this but carried them back to their original place, at the doors. However, the next day they were gone again to be found much later in the forest. This went on for weeks, the statues would leave the door and appear somewhere else in the Reserve, and DNH just didn't know how that was possible.
