Kohraki Dragons silently stalk their prey, concealed within the thick, rolling fog that blankets autumn forests. They prey on the lost and unwary, luring them close by mimicking familiar voices and sounds before swallowing them whole, leaving no trace behind. Bustling, warm villages have been left silent and cold after particularly foggy nights, their inhabitants having fallen prey to swarms of Kohraki Dragons. After, these dragons disappear as quickly as they come, leaving behind only unease and footprints.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Komyona takes pride in her mimicking ability, restricting herself to only the most beautiful of sounds and voices used to draw her prey close. Throughout the years, she's stolen the songs of princesses and court minstrels from faraway kingdoms, sometimes even scaling castle walls to get to a clearer listening spot. Sometimes it is whispered that her lullabies and ballads are so well imitated that unwary humans have fallen peacefully asleep in the middle of the woods, lulled into a false sense of security.
