An almost strictly nocturnal breed, Ciriax Lindwyrms are especially attuned to the moons’ cycles. They spend nights patrolling the edges of their territory, aggressively fending off intruders while they feast on their prey. After two or three nights of feeding, often around the time of at least one full moon, Ciriax Lindwyrms retreat to the recesses of their cave or underground homes. These dragons make it particularly difficult to travel on nights that are well-lit by moonlight, often to an unsuspecting adventurer’s dismay.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Two-headed dragons are unique enough to deserve a separate classification from ordinary dragons. They have two necks, two brains, two mouths, but one stomach and one main body. The two heads usually work together, but there are times when they will fight each other, snapping back and forth. Their unique anatomy prevents them from breeding with single-headed dragons.

User Description

Daunt and Aim are two very particular minds. To the surprise of the other dragons in the cave, this female has rejected almost all the suitors that come, no matter how opalescent their scales or magnificent their roars. Soon enough, with every reject came thousands upon thousands of rumors; everywhere from infertility to snobbishness being a cause for the cold-blooded rejection every male dragon was met with.

The truth of the matter is rather simple, laughably so. For Daunt and Aim are sisters, twins that share one mind, and both agree that they are not at all attracted to the slick coats of blue opals. Instead, the unique dragon prefers the shimmery coats of their green-skinned kin, and it is to forest-green opals they betroth their heart. They stand guard every day, keeping lookout for the one that may capture both their hearts. Even if they hate their own dark scales, there must be a brighter light out there that will make all worth it in the end.
