Sunset Dragons are closely related to sunrise dragons. However, their behaviors differ greatly. Sunset Dragons generally live alone or in small packs. They are more active in the evening, hunting and performing all of their daily tasks as the sun sets.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Pliathrae is a sweet, gentle dragon, who could never harm another life form.  When she was just a young adult, she met a dragon her species named Cebirus.  The two had their first son, Neolah, not long after.  However, one day without warning or reason, Cebirus tried to kill the hatchling, but Pliathrae interfered, and received a gash over the left eye, and now has a dark two-an-a-half-foot long gash on the left side of her face.  Although their son grew up and left because of his father, Cebirus still won't let Pliathrae leave him.  Pliathrae is still a kind dragon, but she is obviously tired and is often in a rudely sarcastic mood.  She's accepted her fate, though, and rolls her eyes and follows her 'mate' wherever he goes.
