Geode Dragons are closely related to Stone dragons. They are covered in a hard stone-like material as well as beautiful crystal. Their wings are entirely useless for flight, but they help attract mates. The dragons with the most brilliant and colorful crystals are more likely to mate.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Viola Maesta is an extremely vain dragon, much like all of the other geodes as well. However, Viola spends even more time around puddles and pools, looking happily at his reflection and watching the sunlight glint off of his blue-purple wings. Viola has half a right to watch his reflection in the pool every day, though; almost all of the female dragons of the cave fawn over him and try to win his affection. Only the best could win the heart of Viola, and he only sticks with one mate for a little while. Viola is also very lazy. He never hunts for himself, having the adoring females do it for him, and he sleeps or stuffs his face when not over at ponds, looking at himself and sighing, longing to jump in and be with the only dragon he truly loves.
