Glaucus Drakes have curious personalities. They spend more of their time sunbathing and idly floating in the water than exploring. Because they move very little as they float, Glaucus Drakes can ambush prey relatively easily. They can dive to surprisingly deep depths, and eat a variety of fish and marine plants. Most of them live in tight-knit family groups.

Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.

User Description

When glaucus drakes were first discovered, they created nothing short of mass hysteria. They were remarkably beautiful, they were travel sized, they were affectionate and eager to please--in other words, they were the drake all drake owners had dreamed of. So it was little shock that, in their eagerness to own them, some people bit off more than they could chew...

The first thing Ooqucho remembers of his owner is how he was presented to her. Newly hatched, sniffing the clear air, he found himself held out to a woman who was already wobbling under the weight of trying to hold no less than several dozen other young glaucus drakes. He was set upon the pile--and promptly the whole thing collapsed in a squirming mass, as the human girl screamed "WHY CAN'T I HOLD ALL THESE GLAUCUS DRAKES" and began to run in distressed circles. While this event (among many subsequent others) has convinced Ooqucho his owner is quite insane, he's still perfectly happy with his life in her care.
