Silver Dragons are arguably one of the most beautiful types of dragons. They live in high altitude habitats such as mountains. Male Silvers hunt and eat meat. While not as beautiful or radiant as females, silver males possess better physical attributes, such as strength.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

When an unusually persistent squall forced this dragon down from his mountain den in search of warmer landscapes, the locals were more than astounded. Silver dragons are a rare and beautiful sight for even those who know of their existence, so for these simple and superstitious folk, the appearance of a gleaming silver beast some eighty feet long was all but a miracle. Sensing their awe, and starved and cold as he was, Faethere decided to make good use of it; quickly proclaiming himself a mountain-god (a claim strengthened with a display of prodigious magic), he demanded offerings of food and a warm temple in which to dwell in exchange for his blessings. It's been many moons since then, and the locals worship him still, but even as he profits from his "divinity" Faethere also gives back to his people in turn; more than one rogue dragon has been driven off by the silver's arcane strength, and he's also swift to share wisdom and enchantments with those who need them.
