Nebula Dragons are nocturnal creatures. With the best eyesight to be found, they are often seen staring into space. Each dragon tends to observe a particular nebula and will eventually change their colors and patterns to match it. As the nebula changes over time, the dragon changes with it. The more intricate the design of the nebula, the better chance an individual has of attracting a mate. It is said that the markings on no two Nebula Dragons will be exactly the same.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Tanzantiya TwinkleStar (after the gemstone: Tanzanite) joined the clan cave as its 197th member, found just moments later and mere feet away from her beloved mate, Tanzantez. She is deeply devoted to him, and has been since the very first instant their eyes met. In contrast to his emerald coloration, he scales are a deep, fiery orange-red, and when seen side by side, they are quite a sight to be seen. Her eyes shimmer like a twinkling star whose light still burns bright in its youth. More than any other desire, she seems determined to consummate her affections with her mate in the hopes of bearing his offspring. Much to her aggravation, however, he has been disinclined to oblige her, a fact that seems to cause her a great deal of distress. The clan elders, as well as The Clan Mother, have assured her time and time again that his hesitance is not of her making, but she seems unconvinced. While it is unlikely, some wonder if she will eventually wander elsewhere if his distance persists.
