Guardian Dragons have large shields on the end of their tails. Although the shields appear to be heavy, they are light, yet nearly unbreakable. Guardian Dragons use their tail-shields, as well as their wings, to deflect attacks and protect others. Often, they will guard the eggs and hatchlings of a nest while others are away. They are generally peaceful, and will not retaliate unless necessary. They have no need to forage or hunt, as they are fed by those they protect.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Left to die as a hatchling, Blue Flightwing was left to fend for himself. Determined to live, but not yet big, nor quick enough to hunt prey, he relied on eating grubs and berries throughout his first months alone.

One night, he stumbled upon a small group of abandoned eggs. Taken back to when he was abandoned, Blue vowed to not let them suffer like he did, he promised to protect the powerless eggs. He covered the eggs with leaves, and guarded them with all his might.

Days would go by, and the pit of loneliness would grow bigger, but so would Blue.

Then the beautiful little hatchlings burst from their shells.

Delighted, he taught them everything he knew, from the best grub locations to the juiciest berries. Blue nursed and loved them like his mother never had.

To this day, they remain close, loyal only to one another, and Blue protects them fiercely.

The others grew fond of Blue's silence, and Blue grew used to their loud laughs and shouts.

Loneliness no longer haunts him.
