Flamingo Wyverns are so named for their resemblance to the tropical birds with whom they often share territory. Their most striking feature is the bony black crest over their faces and snouts, larger in males, aiding both in digging up food and protection when fighting for mates. Males are duller in color than females due to their habit of wandering from nest to nest and picking from less algae-rich feeding grounds.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Irral Miirik is a bit of a trickster. He likes to torment merchants in the capitol city by swooping down and stealing a bauble or trinket, usually a necklace or a a coin purse. He's even become somewhat of a local legend because of his tricks. People come to the marketplace from all over to witness one of Irral Miirik's daring thefts, and some are later on the receiving end of a kindly return of the stolen merchandise. That's the other thing about Irral Miirik. He likes to give the stolen trinkets to the farmers or poor in need of help. Irral Miirik has even gotten himself the nickname of "Robbin Hood".
