Harvest Dragons are a large, flightless breed most often found in heavily forested mountains. Normally shy, these omnivorous dragons keep to themselves in remote regions, but in the fall they descend from their high territory to search for food—and lots of it. During the autumn months, harvest dragons will eat whatever they can find, from large and small animals to nuts and fruit. In the winter they retreat into large caves and hibernate until spring, living off the fat they have built up.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Chickenwing is an odd dragon. He is named Chickenwing because he loves eating chicken (and sometimes turkey too). At night he sneaks out to the nearest chicken farm to get chickens. After a while he smelled like dead chicken, so it got harder to hunt, but he gets chicken. If he can't get chicken he steals the potatoes and mashes them. He always likes picking the cranberries that the owner enchanted for him, and makes them into cranberry jelly. The other dragons think him funny and fat, but he just likes eating his chicken, mashed potatoes, and cranberries.
